For more than two decades, Garcia & Milas has resolved some of the largest and most complex and contentious disputes. In the past year alone: we tried a jury case and received an award establishing that an insurance agent is a franchisee for the first time in the United States; we resolved by settlement one of the largest claims asserted against the Connecticut Department of Transportation; we argued successfully to the Connecticut Supreme Court that a bonding company should not be allowed to collect from its principal an amount paid to a subcontractor to settle the claim against the bond in a ground breaking case of national significance.
