Antonino (Tony) Leone joined the firm in September of 2006 with over 11 years of experience in the construction industry, and has worked closely with contractors, architects, engineers, and owners in all facets of a project’s construction; from the initial schematic design phase through to the final completion. Mr. Leone represents owners, developers, designers, general contractors, subcontractors,and suppliers in his commercial and construction law practice, and franchisees in his franchise law practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Leone worked as a licensed professional structural engineer responsible for the design and analysis of structural systems and components, and the preparation of contract plans and specifications for the structural design of highway bridges, and of commercial, industrial, and residential building projects ranging from $1 Million to $350 Million.

Mr. Leone graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. As an undergraduate, Mr. Leone has been invited to the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society, where he served as president in 1994, and the Chi Epsilon National Civil Engineering Honor Society. He was also honored with such scholastic distinctions as New England Scholar and Who’s Who in American Colleges.

Mr. Leone earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2006, where he received distinguished academic achievement awards for his work on legal topics relating to the construction industry, and was admitted to the bar in the state of Connecticut in October of that year.

Mr. Leone’s professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the New Haven County Bar Association, the Connecticut Building Congress, the Connecticut Structural Engineer’s Coalition (CTSEC), and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
