Matthew W.W. Thomas is a litigation attorney at Garcia & Milas, P.C. Prior to joining Garcia & Milas, Mr. Thomas worked as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender in Hudson County, New Jersey, representing low-income and indigent clients accused of felony and misdemeanor crimes. He also worked in legal document review, aiding in document analysis and organization for complex multi-party and multi-jurisdictional civil suits. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Thomas worked in education at both the secondary and collegiate level, including counseling students through the college application process, student conduct administration, and residence life programming.
Education: Mr. Thomas graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Roger Williams University School of Law. Prior to law school, he graduated with a Master of Education in College Student Affairs from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Tufts University. At Roger Williams, Mr. Thomas was elected by his peers to serve on the Honor Board, the group assigned with upholding the standards of academic integrity within the student body.
