Our Success

Over the years, businesses and individuals have entrusted Garcia & Milas with their most significant matters. We tried a case in which a jury found for the first time in the United States that an insurance agent is a franchisee. We successfully resolved, through mediation, one of the largest claims ever asserted against the Connecticut Department of Transportation. We successfully argued a ground breaking case of national significance before the Connecticut Supreme Court, which defined the obligations of insurance companies when resolving construction bond claims and another case that establishes there is not clear public policy against excess punitive damage awards in Connecticut. We also measure “success” however, by regularly offering our clients sound business solutions and practical advice.
