Land Use and Environment

Our attorneys provide complete service to owners, developers, and project managers in their building and construction projects.  We assist our clients in obtaining building and wetlands permits and planning and zoning approvals, including special exceptions and variances.  As a member of your team we serve as liaison between you and other professionals and have the relationships to connect you with engineers, planners, project managers, and other consultants as necessary.  Our land use practice includes zoning regulation, boundary amendments, zoning enforcement and appeals.  Our attorneys are experienced in environmental issues associated with real estate, construction contracts, and other commercial transactions.  Notably, our attorneys have studied polychlorinated biphenyls (“PCB”) regulation and the issue of site characterization through application of the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 (“TSCA”), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (the “RCRA”), the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (“CERCLA”), and Connecticut’s environmental protection statutes.
