• Jane Milas, a Connecticut Veterans Legal Center pro bono attorney, wins a discharge upgrade for a navy veteran.

• Astoria Federal Mortgage Corp. v. Genesis Limited Partnership, 167 Conn. App. 183 (2016). Jane I. Milas, with whom on the brief was Jaime Paoletti, obtained a decision from the Connecticut Appellate Court. In a case of first impression, the Appellate Court analyzed whether the assignee of a non-recorded assignment of mechanic’s lien had standing to foreclose a mechanic’s lien.
